Zagorska svadba / Zagorje Wedding

Rad na kulturno – turističkoj manifestaciji Zagorska svadba započet je 1981. godine, a osmišljena je s ciljem da sačuvamo i prezentiramo tradicijske svadbene običaje i folklorni izričaj Hrvatskog zagorja.

Svadbena svečanost odvija se po starim regulama, koji prikazuju: prošnju mladenke, zaruke, mačkure, jutarnjicu, a nakon zaruka slijedi svadbeno veselje uz narodna jela.  Cilj manifestacije je podizanje svijesti o važnosti kulturne i povijesne baštine, te poticanju pojedinaca i udruga na istraživanje i oživljavanje zagorskih narodnih običaja.  Svake je godine sve veća posjećenost i zainteresiranost za praćenje manifestacije, te time  posjetitelji ujedno dožive stare već zaboravljene običaje.

 Work on the cultural and tourist event “Zagorje Wedding” began in 1981, with the aim of preserving and showcasing the traditional wedding customs and folklore expressions of Hrvatsko Zagorje.

The wedding ceremony follows old customs, depicting the proposal, engagement, “mačkure” (pre-wedding gathering), and “jutarnjica” (morning after the wedding). After the engagement, the wedding celebration takes place, featuring traditional local dishes.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the importance of cultural and historical heritage and to encourage individuals and associations to research and revive traditional Zagorje customs.

Each year, the event attracts more visitors and growing interest, allowing attendees to experience and relive long-forgotten traditions.
